The Vale Food Trail at Cowbridge Food & Drink Festival
On the 26th and 27th May, join Food Vale in Old Hall Gardens in Cowbridge where a programme of fun activities for all the family will provide opportunities to learn about food which is good for people, place and planet at Cowbridge Food & Drink Festival.
Sunday 26th May 10am-5pm
Throughout the day, Cardiff and Vale UHB Dietetics will be sharing info and resources on healthy eating, and Ediculture will be running a mini plant sale with seeds and perennial herbs, along with herb and salad tastings.
Scheduled events (all free entry):
11 – 11.30: Join Food Vale in a family-friendly craft activity, making your own fresh fruit faces and animals.
12 – 12.30: Come and write a love poem (or song) for your favourite vegetable muse!
13 – 13.30: Join Awesome Wales in making some wildflower seed bombs to plant in your own garden.
14 – 14.30: Join Ediculture for a guided foraging walk around the Old Hall and Physic Gardens.
15 – 15.30: Join Cardiff and Vale UHB Dietetics and make a healthy and delicious noodle pot
16 – 16.30: Join Food Vale for an interactive, family friendly food quiz.
Monday 27th May 10am-5pm
Throughout the day, Vale Fairtrade will be running an exhibition of the winning entries to the Vale Fairtrade Youth Poster Competition, and Cardiff and Vale UHB Dietetics will be sharing info and resources on healthy eating.

11 – 11.30: Visit Vale Fairtrade to try some free samples and delicious tasters.
12 – 12.30: Join Ediculture for a guided foraging walk around the Old Hall and Physic Gardens.
13 – 13.30: Join the Bumblebee Conservation Trust for a fascinating talk on the importance of pollinators and the simple ways we can all help them.
14 – 14.30: Join Urban Vertical and try your hand at making some delicious veggie sushi rolls.
15 – 15.30: Llanblethlian Orchard will be giving a free talk on the heritage apple available suited to growing in the Vale.
16 – 16.30: Join Food Vale for an interactive, family friendly food quiz.
