What is the Vale Food Trail?

Taking place from 26th May - 4th June 2024, the second Vale Food Trail will bring people closer to food producers and businesses in the vale, whilst deepening their connections with the surrounding community.

The Vale Food Trail is organised by partners from Food Vale, the Vale of Glamorgan's Sustainable Food Partnership; Visit the Vale; Vale of Glamorgan Council; as well as Menter a Busnes' business support programme Cywain.

What is Food Vale?

Food Vale is hosted within the Local Public Health Team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and is part of the Sustainable Food Places network, a partnership programme led by the Soil Association, Food Matters and Sustain: the alliance for better food and farming. Food Vale aims to help to build a more sustainable local food system and improve the access, affordability and availability of good food across the Vale of Glamorgan. What is the UK Shared Prosperity Fund?

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025.
