Explore the flourishing vegetable patch, say hello to the friendly (and very portly) pigs, and catch a glimpse of some gentle, shambling sheep. Wander the fields and wooded corners of the farm, seeking out rare arable plants, marvel at the chorus of birdsong, and check in on the crops as they grow. As a private estate not generally open to the public, Maria, the Deer Park owner, will guide you through this magical estate and answer your questions. The walk will be approximately 2km and will vary depending on where the deer are. As it is calving season you may be lucky enough to see some calves. The park is hilly in places so not suitable for very young children or wheelchair uses. After the tour you will be able to visit the Park Shop to purchase antler, eggs, dog chews, park photography and sustainable firewood, or put in your pre-order for the next season’s venison. Head to Rosedew Farm for an opportunity to meet Rhodri Davies, who has been farming the land on Rosedew Farm in Llantwit Major for over 30 years. Rhodri expertly raises cattle and sheep while cultivating a variety of arable crops amongst other endeavours. In 2011, he and wife Gaynor also founded Farmers Pantry Butchers to bring high-quality, farm-reared produce directly to the local community.

During a 'Steak Showdown' at the farm you'll meet Dawie Beyers, Operations Manager at Farmers Pantry Butchers who will introduce a variety of steak cuts, discussing their unique characteristics and the best ways to cook them. Watch as he expertly prepares each cut and enjoy a tasting session of these delicious steaks.

Afterwards, relax with a hot drink and delicious cake at the on-site Acorn Café, the perfect way to round off your farm-to-fork experience (included in your ticket price).
